About Single 60s: over 60s dating and friendship since 2010

How it all started

Single60s.co.uk has been "the friendship and dating site for the over 60s" since at least the spring of 2010, when it already asked new members the same simple questions it asks today: are you a man or a woman, and who would you like to meet. The idea has not changed. People over 60 deserve a site made with them in mind, where they are not the oldest person in the room and where friendship counts as much as romance.

There are sister sites for other countries: Single 60s USA and Single 60s Australia. This site is the UK one, which is why prices are in pounds and the places we write about are British.

Who is behind the site

Single 60s runs on HubPeople, a dating platform that powers a family of independent dating brands. The platform provides the member area, the moderation team, the ID checks and the payments, and its safety work is aligned with the Online Dating and Discovery Association, the industry body for dating services. Single 60s decides what the site is for and who it is written for.

Because the member area is shared with other HubPeople sites, you will meet people of all ages and interests as well as those who joined through Single 60s. You choose the age range and distance you want, so you see the people who suit you.
