Know who you will meet where you live
Single 60s is a UK site, and the people on it are not spread evenly. London has the most members, then the North West and the South East. But the mix of ages and of men and women changes a great deal from one region to the next, and that affects what you should expect and how you should set your search.
Each regional page uses our own membership records, read in October 2026. We show shares, never head counts, and we only build a page for a region where enough members over 55 live to make it worth reading. The figures are for members whose profiles place them in that region.

Read across a row: in Yorkshire, 90% of the men on the site are 55 or older, 30% of the women are, women make up 46% of members over 55, and 65% of members over 55 are 65 or older. The pattern is clear. Almost everywhere, most of our men are over 55, while the women are a younger mix, so men in their sixties often do better with a slightly wider age range. The South East and the East Midlands are the exceptions, with as many women as men over 55, or more.

Older men outnumber older women here by about five to three.

The oldest male membership on the site: nine in ten men are over 55.

The highest share of women over 55, who outnumber the men in that age group.

Most members in the Central Belt, and free bus travel from 60 makes meeting easy.
Wales, Northern Ireland and the North East

London, then the North West and the South East. Every English region and Scotland has members over 55.
Why do you show percentages and not numbers?
Membership changes every day, so shares give a fairer picture of the mix than a count that is out of date by next week.
