Over 60s Dating Sites Compared: how Single 60s measures up
Fair, side-by-side comparisons with the sites people over 60 in the UK most often weigh us against. No sales patter, and no knocking the competition.
Which dating site is right for you over 60?
It depends on what you want. The big general sites have the most members, but most of them are much younger than you. Sites for the over 50s narrow that down. Single 60s narrows it further, to people over 60, and lets a free account send a few messages every day, so you can get talking before you spend a penny. Each comparison below sets out who the other site suits, what you can do free, how it suggests people and how it handles safety.
We checked every fact about other sites against their own websites, app store listings or official figures in October 2026. We do not quote their prices, which change often; we do quote ours, on the prices page.
Single 60s side by side with each site
- Single 60s vs OurTime
The large over-50s site with apps and local events, against a smaller site for over 60s where free members can message.
- Single 60s vs Match
One of the biggest names in dating, open to everyone over 18, against a site built only for the over 60s.
- Single 60s vs eharmony
A long compatibility quiz that picks your matches, against setting your own preferences and browsing straight away.
- Single 60s vs 60s Love
Two sites with similar names for the same age group, run by different companies, and one line in the terms worth reading.
Sites we have not compared, and why
SilverSingles. The UK site is offline, and Spark Networks, which owned it, went into insolvency proceedings in Germany in January 2026. A SilverSingles site still runs in the United States under a different company. Until it is clear whether it serves the UK again, a comparison would not help you.
Lumen, the over-50s app, closed in 2020. Saga Dating and Telegraph Dating still operate and are run for those brands by a third-party dating company; we have not compared them yet because their sites could not be checked in enough detail. Plenty of Fish is a free, general app for all ages owned by Match Group. All of them sit side by side in one table in our UK over 60s dating sites guide.
Questions about other sites

Its UK website no longer loads, and its former owner Spark Networks entered insolvency proceedings in January 2026. A US SilverSingles site is run by a different company.
Can I be on more than one dating site?
Yes. Most sites are free to join, and trying two or three for a few weeks is a sensible way to find the one that suits you.
Which over 60s dating site is free?
Most are free to join, but what you can do free varies a lot. Single 60s includes a few messages a day on a free account. Our guide to free over 60s dating sites explains the differences.
