Comparison
Single 60s vs OurTime: which suits you after 60?
Two sites for older singles in the UK, built in different ways. Here is how they differ, fairly.
The short answer
OurTime is a large over-50s dating site run by Match Group, with apps, local events and video chat. Single 60s is a smaller site made for the over 60s since 2010, where a free account lets you send a few messages every day and friendship is treated as a goal of its own. If you want the biggest pool and organised events, OurTime is worth a look; if you want a site aimed squarely at your age that you can use properly without paying, try Single 60s.

Who each site is really for
OurTime launched in the UK in June 2017 as Match Group's site for the over 50s, modelled on the American OurTime that started in 2011. Its sign-up starts at 50, and members can choose to have their profile shown to over-50s on Match as well, which widens the pool considerably. In Ofcom's figures for May 2025 it was the ninth most visited dating service in the UK.
Single 60s has described itself as a friendship and dating site for the over 60s from at least 2010 onwards. It is aimed a decade older than OurTime, and it says plainly that friendship is welcome. Its member area is shared with other sites on the same platform, so you will meet a range of ages; most of the men in the UK are 65 or older.
What you can do without paying
This is where the two differ most. On OurTime, free members can browse, search, add people to a favourites list and see the first three photos on any profile; the fuller tools are for subscribers. On Single 60s, free members get a daily allowance of messages, and any message from a VIP member can be read and answered without paying. If you want to find out whether anyone suitable is out there before spending money, that difference matters. Our price list shows what VIP costs if you do upgrade, and the features page lists what each level adds.
Meeting in person
OurTime runs local activities where members can meet in person, and it has a video conversation feature for chatting before you meet. Single 60s does not organise events. If group outings appeal, OurTime has the edge; if you would rather arrange your own first meeting somewhere quiet, our first date ideas for over 60s may help.
Safety
Both sites moderate profiles. Single 60s also offers a free identity check that earns a profile badge, a moderator-led video call as the alternative to sending documents, and an alert when someone tries to move your conversation to WhatsApp, which is a common first step in romance scams. Our safety page explains each one.
Can you use both?
Yes, and many people do. Joining either is free. Start a profile on each, give it a fortnight, and keep the one where the conversations feel right. You can see how we compare with Match and eharmony too.
