Who uses Single 60s in Scotland
Glasgow is the most common town on Scottish profiles, with Edinburgh a close second. Between them they account for most of our members north of the border, and the rest are spread through Renfrewshire, Lanarkshire, West Lothian, Fife, Stirlingshire, Perthshire, Angus, Aberdeenshire and Dumfries and Galloway.
The men are older than the women. Close to nine in ten Scottish men on the site are 55 or over, while about one woman in five is. Of the Scottish members aged over 55, 42% are women, and 58% have reached 65.
For a woman in her sixties, then, Scotland offers a good choice of men her own age. A man in his sixties may want to widen his age range a few years at first, or look across both cities rather than one.

A Scottish advantage: free bus travel from 60
In Scotland, everyone aged 60 or over can apply for a National Entitlement Card, which gives free bus travel across the country. That changes the arithmetic of dating. Glasgow to Edinburgh, or Dundee to Perth, stops being a costly trip and becomes an easy afternoon out. When you set your search distance, it is worth being generous: someone forty miles away may be one comfortable bus ride from you.
Where to go on a first date
Glasgow
Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum is free, has a café, and is next to Kelvingrove Park for a walk afterwards. The Botanic Gardens in the West End are free too, and the Burrell Collection in Pollok Country Park reopened after a long refurbishment and makes a fine afternoon out.
Edinburgh
The Royal Botanic Garden is free to walk round, and the Scottish National Gallery on the Mound charges nothing for its main collection. The Water of Leith walkway through Dean Village is quiet and pretty, and Portobello promenade by the sea is flat and good in all but the worst weather.
Further afield
Balloch, at the foot of Loch Lomond, is reachable by train from Glasgow. St Andrews, Pitlochry and the Fife coastal villages are all good choices for a longer day once you have met a couple of times.
