Over 60s dating in Yorkshire

An older, settled membership
Yorkshire has the oldest male membership of any region on Single 60s. Nine in ten men here are 55 or over, and nearly three quarters of those are 65 or older. Three women in ten are over 55 too, which is well above the London figure. Put simply, the people you see when you search in Yorkshire are much more likely to be at the same stage of life as you: retired or nearly there, often with grown-up children and grandchildren, and looking for company rather than a whirlwind.
Members over 55 are split almost evenly between men and women, with women at a little under half. That is a better balance than most dating apps can offer people in their sixties.

City by city
Leeds and Bradford
Leeds is the town named most often on Yorkshire profiles, ahead of Sheffield, and Bradford has a group of members of its own. Leeds Art Gallery is free and sits beside the Henry Moore Institute, and Roundhay Park is one of the largest city parks in Europe, with a lake and a café. From Bradford, Saltaire is a short train ride away: Salts Mill has free galleries of David Hockney's work and a diner on the top floor.
Sheffield and Doncaster
Sheffield members can meet in the Winter Garden in the city centre, a big glasshouse that is free and dry whatever the weather, or walk round the Botanical Gardens. Doncaster has members of its own too; with good rail links on the East Coast line, it is easy to reach York or Leeds for a date.
York and North Yorkshire
York's city walls give a walk of a couple of miles with views of the Minster, and there is no shortage of tea rooms inside them. Harrogate's Valley Gardens and the Stray are lovely in spring. On the coast, Whitby and Scarborough are a classic day out, and the North York Moors and the Dales are on the doorstep for walkers.

West Yorkshire's towns sit close together, so fifteen to twenty miles from Leeds takes in Bradford, Wakefield, Huddersfield and Harrogate. In North Yorkshire and the East Riding the distances are greater and members fewer, so start at thirty or forty miles. Your exact address is never shown, only the town you choose.
